Would You Like to Be a Part of the Family of God?
Is God Calling You to Surrender?
God desires to fulfill the purpose for which He created you. But He cannot fulfill that purpose if you are determined to continue to wallow in your sins. Every one of us has sinned. Sin separates us from God. The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God. But because God loves you and doesn’t want you separated from Him for all eternity, He came to earth as man—as Jesus Christ in human form—to die on the cross, to pay for our sins. He died a horrific death, was buried and rose from the dead—all for you and me.
What is your part in all of this? Your part is to humble your heart and surrender your will to God’s will. That emptiness inside you—that void you can’t ever seem to fill up—is a hunger for God, for a genuine relationship with Him. Have a willing heart to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Rely on Him alone as your personal Lord and Savior. Give Him complete control of your life. If you believe the Lord is leading you right now to surrender your life to Him and enter into a relationship with Him, you can let Him know your heart by saying a prayer like the one that follows:
A Salvation Prayer
Jesus, today I understand that I am a sinner. I have been living life my own way too long and I need You to save me. Please forgive me for all my sins. I understand that you came, died, were buried, and rose again for me. Come into my heart to be my Lord and my Savior. Make me the person You want me to be. I give You my life to be used for Your glory. Thank you for saving me! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
If you prayed that prayer with sincerity and with a humble heart, I say,
"Welcome to the family of God!" I would like to hear from you. Please
send me an e-mail at sskebe@aol.com and let me know that you are
saved, that you have trusted your life to Christ. I will send you an
e-mail with some pointers and steps to take to help jump start your walk
with Christ.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone,
the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
